Shea's Necklace

This is a necklace that I made for my friend Shea's birthday. Since Shea doesn't read my blogs, I felt it safe to post this, even though she won't get it until tomorrow. It's a collage on a wood tile, with a bail attached on the back. I think it's rather cute, don't you? I love cats.

The New Kitty Sweater

This is the cat sweater that I wrote about before. I finally buckled down and finished it! Yay! It's mostly from a simple dog sweater pattern, but the bottom part is fudged a bit to be better for cats. Aren't my kitties adorable in it? I have plans for a red sweater for Skeet, maybe this time with sleeves.

A Very Shy Bunny

These are a few of my first attempts at making stuffed animals. I'm still working on what works best, and some things don't work well at all. They're all cute enough, in their own way, but I still haven't hit upon the magic combination of the right pattern, cloth, filling, and face. The first two are cats, but the second one doesn't have a tail, just a little shirt. The third is perhaps my most successful so far, but he's very shy. He doesn't think that he came out right at all, so he likes to hide in the shadows. His ears are adorable, though.

Coming Out of the Closet

Here's a picture of Skeet, taking a nap in my armoire. :D Any time I leave the door open, he's in there. He loves small spaces, especially a blanket tent or a box. He's a funny cat.

9:30pm

It's that in-between time, where everything is quiet. Adam isn't back from work yet, the cats are sleepy, Mango my lovebird is asleep, and the rats aren't awake yet. The only noise is the sizzle of the chicken on the stove, and MASH reruns that I play almost constantly when I'm alone. I have most of them memorized, and I keep putting them on for noise while I putter around the house.

We live in a tiny one bedroom place, and have limited space. My favorite chair is my moon chair, which I got out of storage a couple of days ago. The cats are thrilled with this new addition to our living room, and they both want to sleep on it. This is a pic of them tussling for position. :) The blanket they're on is a homemade quilt I made a couple of years ago... The first "real" quilt I've ever made. I'm really proud of it, so I'll probably post a better picture later.
