Miniature Thread Crochet!

I've started getting back into crocheting and knitting. I start and stop hobbies a lot, cycling through them because I never can pick just one or two. It's a pity that I can't pick a couple, because then I'd be really really good at those things, rather than just kinda good at a whole bunch of things. I suppose that has merit, too, though.
Here's a little dog I crocheted. (Yes, the absence of back legs is an artistic choice...)

There's also an apple, complete with stem and leaf!

And a tiny basket.

I like miniature crochet. It's adorable, as most tiny things are, it's quick, and they're fun to make. I have a problem making two of anything, like gloves or socks. I like making up my own patterns, most that I make up as I make the item, and writing it down seems tedious. Oh, well, at least socks and mittens make good Christmas presents!

Nathan's Birthday Beetle

As usual, I sent off a birthday present really late, but he liked it anyway! I saw one somebody did on Ravelry, and made one myself. Nathan likes bugs, so I thought it was appropriate! I used scrap yarn, two different greens.

A Birthday Present

I finally got this to my brother, so now I'm free to post pictures of it! It took me longer than I assumed it would, but I think it turned out well. The thread is some vintage crochet thread I found at a thrift store; the pattern is a slightly modified one I found on the net.

Crocheted Earrings

I never did show these off, huh? I've sold one pair of them. The others are in my shop.

Yarn

These are two hats I knitted, one for one of Adam's friend, and the red one to go in the shop. The other is the shawl I crocheted for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I'm learning a lot more about knitting... I'm almost done with a kitty sweater that's absolutely adorable! I'll post pictures of one of our kitties wearing it as soon as I'm done... :)

Green Bottle Book

It's safe to post these now, because the recipients of these particular things have already opened them. There's a flatback-bound book, with a hand-embroidered bottle on the front that I made for my dad. There's also my brother's felt hand-sewn dragon. Isn't he cute? I also crocheted a hedgehog for my mom, and I swear I took pictures, but they have disappeared. (Hint, hint, mom! I'm still waiting for all the pictures of the art you have, including the stuff I made for dad and Nate - I'm putting together a portfolio). :)

Hats for Sale!

Here's some pics of the hats that I have for sale at Mountainworks. Yay! The closeup of the tag is made of Shrinky Dink plastic, my new favorite toy. Isn't the bunny butt cute? It's a stamp I have. Hopefully I'll be able to make myself a hat soon, because all of the ones I've made so far I've put in the shop. Oh, well. The life of a crafter.

granny blankets

I have a couple of granny square blankets I'm working on right now. Here's a picture of the one I started today. I was inspired when I bought a box full of yarn ends, etc from ebay, and I'm having fun picking out the colors. I'm not sure what I'll do with it... Maybe it'll end up large enough for our bed! I'm also working on a light and dark blue one, but I don't currently have any pictures. It's a lot bigger than this started one, and I think it might be a baby blanket.

Zigzag Blanket

Here's the continuation of my zigzag lapghan. It's getting along. I crochet while I watch M.A.S.H. at night after work.

Coolest Tiny Crochets!

Dollhouse Miniature Crocheted Granny Square Afghan
This is the coolest miniature blanket, done in granny squares. Here's a link to see the other cool little items. I've made tiny hats before, but I've given them all away. I'll try to make a few more and put them on, because they're really cute!

Crocheted Ripple Blanket

Because my job isn't all that interesting, I've been looking around for something to keep me occupied. I've learned recently to crochet a ripple stitch, and am therefore making a blanket. I haven't ever finished a crocheted blanket before, but I hope that this will be the first.
